“Arthur Rubinstein” by Kobra in Lodz, Poland

Eduardo Kobra is a Brazilian artist, an exponent of the new avant-garde in São Paulo, soon engaged in urban regeneration project in his city.
His characters are often important personalities of the early decades of the twentieth century, in a project of combination of nostalgia and modernity. Its walls are real portals to create nostalgic moments in the city.
Kobra plays a lot with light and shadow and the colors. His personal signature stands out mostly on colorful puzzles or a series of three-dimensional wall paintings that allow the public to interact with the work. The idea is to establish contact between the nostalgic atmosphere and constant feature of agitation of big cities, unique characteristic of its São Paulo.
A Łódź creates an unusual and fun portrait of Arthur Rubinstein (Łódź, January 28, 1887 – Geneva, 20 December 1982) Polish-born American pianist, a tribute to the Polish town under urban redevelopment.
