Vibrant pieces of street art appear in different areas of London recognizable by a specific technique of drips, dots and scribbles. It’s the mark of an Australian artist James Cochran aka Jimmy C who call it “aerosol pointillism” and which give a poetic and energetic atmosphere to his cityscapes or portraits. James take inspiration by the work of Aboriginal artists who use a dot painting style and he develop it with layers of marks and drips realizing a practice of repeated patterns. The integration of spheres floating around the subjects of his painting, like planets or atoms, make a strong reference to a cosmic space. Jimmy C prefers to create portraits of people that he finds in the street getting the reality to access to his art. In this artwork the woman’s face is the focal point in the wall and we can imagine the flow of her thoughts through the lines and the marks that seems to radiate from her mind.
