Portrait by David Walker and Jim Vision in Shoreditch, London

London is a particularly inspiring city for the street art due to the presence of artists from around the world and a great experimentation of styles and techniques.  In this context British muralist David Walker has found a way to emerge with his colour-explosive portraits. He takes inspiration from photography, magazines or websites to paint his characters, most of them women. Using black and white he outlines the features through the shadows and the lights creating a focal point in the intimacy of the gaze. The expression of his figures suggests that they are caught in a moment of reflection. For this artwork, made in Shoreditch, David Walker collaborates with Jim Vision who contributes to the mural bringing colourful squirts and lines, creating a multi-layered painting. The fusion between  Photo Realism and Abstraction generates a propagation of energy from the wall to all the area around.
