In Holbox, Mexico, they create the Festival Internacional de Arte Público (Street Art International Festival) where artists from around the world where invited to paint acting as a visual channel for the residents of the island. The result was the project “Soñando por Holbox” (Dreaming for Holbox) which wants to visualize what the inhabitants see about their island, how it was and it is, and what they would like to preserve for the future. In its origins Holbox was a fisherman’s island, but in the last few years, the tourism has brought some changes which are modifying the authentic nature of the place. With this project they want to give a voice to the people who actually live there and visualize their dreams. In this way they can unite visions to plan their own future creating an urban dialogue. For this event Jace makes a portrait of a child that completely symbolizes the gaze to the future.
