In these Easter holidays a Street Art Festival is taking place in the Scottish city of Aberdeen. The city is nicknamed the City of Granite: the Aberdeen buildings were built using the gray granite extracted from local quarries which gives it a special identity. Nuart Aberdeen Festival has clearly brought a wave of color in the city, not just figuratively. Installations, interventions, workshops help to liven things up and connect people. Among the many street artists participants we find a very interesting couple. It is an artist duo from Germany: Hera (Jasmin Siddiqui) and Akut (Falk Lehmann) which together work in different projects around the world.
Herakut creates an imaginary world and wants to recount the stories, often the figures is accompanied by narration, text component is an integral part of the work. Hera it sets the shape and proportions of the characters, while the Akut paints photorealistic elements. The facial features are gently marked, the protagonists of these mysterious tales seem to want to capture and incorporate in the story the audience.
