1010 is an artist of Polish origin who lives and works in Hamburg. The artist prefers to remain anonymous. After many artistic experiments, he finally found his true vocation in 2010, when he began to develop his concept of abstract holes on the walls. These optical illusions are made through different layers of color, in a way so elaborate as to automatically catapult us into a third dimension. We are tempted to enter through these portals into dark and unknown worlds. The deep black hole that suggests dangerous depth is cleverly highlighted by the layers of bright color that outline its shape. One of his biggest portals was painted a few years ago on the closed section of the highway in Paris, measuring over 4500 square meters.
The codename “1010” was attributed to him by a photographer who started to call in this way the photos of his first projects.
